About 70% of roundworm infections are found in horses up to and including the age of three, the other 30% are spread almost equally over the other ages, with a center of gravity in horses aged 20 years and older.
Remarkably often, unfortunately, we find the combination of sand and roundworm. The biological balance disturbed by the sand seems to offer additional opportunities for the roundworm in particular….
So it remains vital to be careful with dry meadows, especially this spring.
